The United States has no federal agency accused with
hospital oversight. As an alternative, it depends on a makeshift of state
health sections and a not-for-profit group named the Joint Commission that arranges
simple excellence standards for the country. Hospitals are infrequently locked
or hit with important financial consequences for hurting patients.
