Hello!

It is important that the United States of America has a separation of powers because without it we would end up like the UK with King George. Corruption. This is why we have the checks and balances in order to prevent the government from getting too much power. We also have all of the branches and Congress. This is why in order for a bill to be passed, it must make it past so many branches. Something that took place that is an example of separation of powers is the stolen valor act. We also have taxes which can stop the US government from taking too much money from us. In order for the President to pass a bill, it must make it through the branches and be passed. Even the President's bill can be revoked. This is yet an example of the separation of powers, also to prevent too much corruption within the US government.

I hope this helped!
