Think of a cross-sectional view of the brick:  It's a 9 cm by 12 cm rectangle.  Calculate the diagonal of this rectangle, using the Pyth. Thm.  :

(9 cm)^2 + (12 cm)^2 = diagonal^2
 Then 81 + 144 = diagonal^2 =225.  So, the diagonal is 15 cm.

No, the brick will not pass through a pipe with inside diameter 14 cm.
No, I don't think it can pass.

9 cm (length) X 12 cm (width), 25 cm (height)

The length of how long the brick is does not matter. BUT, the width and height matters. All they need to be, is smaller than 14 cm. BUT, the height is 25 cm and is not smaller than 14 cm, so No, it will not fit because the height to too tall to fit in. I believe I am correct, if not, anyone can correct me. I hope this helps =).
