What is the slope of y = 3.5x and what does this mean?

The slope of a line means that in the line, if you start at a point on the line, in this case we know that (0,0) is a point on the line, you can go up 3.5, and right 1 to get the next point.

The answer would be slope = 3.5. I got this because in most situations the number next to the X variable in an equation is the slope. Hope this helps.
