The final stage is when the cyclone dies. I'm not sure about the specific term, but from what I recall it has something to do with the "death" of the cyclone. Just think along those lines. It forms, matures, and then dies. :)
The three stages in the development of a full tropical cyclone are formative, mature, and DISSIPATION .
What is a tropical cyclon?
Tropical cyclons are low pressure systems that get formed on warm waters of the oceans, in tropical or subtropical regions.
The tropical cyclone occurs in a wide cloudy area, with rains and thunderstorms.
They are influenced by the Coriolis effect. Air masses are diverted into predictable directions. This rotation effect has an important role in winds' direction.
Surface circulation of winds that are
- counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere,
- clockwise in the southern hemisphere.
What are the stages of a tropical cyclone?
- Stage 1: Formation
- Stage 2: Development and maturation
- Stage 3: Dissipation
During dissipation, the cyclon can not get energy from warm water anymore. The pressure in the center of the cyclon begins to increase and the winds gradually decrease accompanied by a weakening of the system.
Eventually, the cyclon disappears.
