It is important to mention the general term Non Physicain Practitioner (NPP), which includes Non Physician Clinicians (NPCS) and Mid Level Practitioners (MLPs) and also refers to as Physician Expanders.
These are referred as Physician expanders because these are considered as SUBSTITUTE for physicians. These physicians are not involved in care of patients but work in close association with the physicians.
A physician refers to a professional who is involved in medicine and promotes and restores health of the patient.
