We can still say that Jeff and Sonia are no longer single. They are serious about one another and surely wants to see that where their relation is going. Since they have dated each other since they were sophomores and now being exclusive, they could not be dating other. There is a relation between them but still there is time to call them boyfriend/girlfriend.
