Remain the same, if it continues to absorb heat while it's hit it's melting point. It isn't necessarily going to change. Now if its a liquid it would turn into a gas, which would be an increase in melting but then it would no longer be able to melt, once a gas.
As a solid substance absorbs heat at its melting point, the melting point will remain the same.
Melting point can be described as the point at which the solid has been converted to the liquid state. The molecules in the solid are bonded to each other with high intermolecular interactions.
The molecules gain energy and start to vibrate. The amount of energy that has been responsible to change the state of the solid to a liquid by the weakening of the intermolecular bonds, has been termed as the melting point.
The solids have been converted to liquid at the melting point, and the liquid has been converted to gas at the boiling point. Since there has been no change in the molecules of the solid, after condensation, the solid formed has been again having the same melting point.
Thus, as a solid substance absorbs heat at its melting point, the melting point will remain the same.
