Ectotherms and endotherms are commonly known as "cold-blooded animals" and "warm blooded animals" respectively. Ectotherms are those animals who don't produce much body heat and have to rely on external heat for maintaining their body temperature. ... All mammals and birds, and some fish are endotherms.
