The sum of 6 consecutive integers is 387. What is the sixth term in the sequence

We'll call our first integer n. Since the six integers are consecutive, we have:

[tex]n+(n+1)+(n+2)+(n+3)+(n+4)+(n+5)+(n+6)=387[/tex]
[tex]6n+21=387[/tex]
[tex]6n=366[/tex]
[tex]n=61[/tex]

So the first integer is 61. Then the sixth integer would be 67, since it's just the first plus six.
