When you agree to disagree, you accept that someone else feels differently about a situation then you do and that it is okay. It's common for friends, family and coworkers to disagree on something and make it known they disagree but that it is okay. The disadvantages to agreeing to disagree is that if it's over a conflict, nothing truly gets solved and the issue still remains. Although you aren't focusing on the issue, the issue is still at hand.
