When dealing with the angles of triangles, they are always going to equal 180 degrees. 
So, 79 + 37 + x = 180
116 + x = 180
-116         -116
-------------------
x = 64 degrees

To check that you can just add them all together and see if you get 180.
64 + 79 + 37 = 180

y= 64°

79°+37°+?°=180°   so you do it backwards.....
180°-79°-37°=64°
