Based on the answers to parts (a)-(c), explain why cinnamaldehyde is not miscible with water. incorporate relevant intermolecular forces in your answer.

Respuesta :

Based on the answer from question  a to c, the majority of the cinnamaldehyde molecule is non-polar and therefore does not mix with water, which is a polar molecule and attracts dipole moments. While cinnamaldehyde contains an OH, a polar molecule that’s able to hydrogen bond, most of the molecule is non-polar,and is therefore unable to interact with water molecules.
