One of the major impacts of the Concordat of Worms was that "The pope recognized Henry V as the lawful emperor," since this brought to an end the major conflict that had existed between the Catholic Church and Emperors in the East. 
The Concordat of Worms was an agreement between Pope Calixtus II and Holy Roman Emperor Henry V on September 23, 1122 near the city of Worms. It brought to an end the first phase of the power struggle between the Papacy and the Holy Roman Emperors.
