Things parents can do to encourage volunteering are:
1. Find the perks.
2. Take the child's interests into consideration. If your child is into hands on building things look into Habitat for Humanity. Basically find something that will grab the youths attention and make it seem like fun because the child is already into whatever the job is.
3. Ask friends or family or your church if they can encourage the child.
4. uplift your child with compliments and let them know you care and are proud/glad that they are doing it. but don't rub it in their faces that gets annoying.
5. Don't try to push the child into doing something because you did it if they don't want to do it it is their choice ease into the process.
just don't give up.
hope this helps love!
