Mdm Yip packed some oranges into 4 oranges and 42 bags. Eacg box had 34 more oranges than each bag. She packed 7/9 of the oranges in the bags. How many oranges did Mdm Yip pack in each bag?

Ill assume that to be the case.
let number of oranges in a bag = x oranges.
Then each box  has x + 34 oranges.

Total number of oranges in the 4 boxes  = 4(x+34)
Total number of oranges in all the bags =  42x

so w e have the equation:-
  42x  = 7/9 * 4(x + 34)

42x =  28/9 ( x + 34)

9*42x = 28(x + 34)

378x = 28x +  952

350x = 952

x =  2.72


I think you might have the values in the question wrong  because this figure should be a whole number
