Robert Boyle was a founding member of the anti-scholastic 'invisible college' which later became the Royal Society in 1645. He worked at the propagation of Christianity - especially in India and financed series of lectures and published books to further this project.
Robert Boyle taught his law on atoms and the inverse relationship between volume and pressure in gas he believed that it could be explained through the motion of atoms.
