In fright and horror, Macbeth kills the King Duncan's guards. The original plan of Lady Macbeth was to get the guards of King Duncan fall asleep, then have Macbeth leave the daggers in their hands to make them look like they had killed King Duncan. Everything goes according to plan until Macbeth forgets to leave the daggers by the guards. Afraid of being discovered and horrified by what he has decided to be a part of, Macbeth is agitated and has killed the guards.
