  • The components of non-specific immunity that get affected includes innate immune cells such neutrophiles, eosinophiles, basophiles and monocytes.
  • Components of specific immunity that can get affected are B cells and T cells (lymphocytes).
  • Since leukemia affect the bone marrow, almost all cellular components gets affected.
  • Only the normal function of innate immune system such as providing physical barriers and mucosal secretion can not get affected by leukemia.
