This question is basically asking "what is $7.25 times 30?"

We can break the $7.25 down into 7 dollars and 25 cents, and then multiply each by 30...
the 7 dollars × 30 = 210 dollars, and
the 25 cents × 30 = 750 cents = 7.50

210 + 7.50 = $217.50

You could also do decimal multiplication like this:

[tex] \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ _1 \\\times\ \ 7.25\\\underline{\ \ \ 30.00}\\21.7500[/tex]

You just multiply like a normal number, but line up the decimal points and add in zeroes as a placeholder for the 30 past the decimal point. I left out the lines of multiplying the first three zeroes because it is fairly obvious...Once you have your result you put your decimal point 4 places from the right because it should reflect the 2 from the 30.00 plus the 2 from the 7.25.
If you get paid $7.25 per hour, then 30 hrs would be
$7.25 x 30= $217.50

hope this helps
