Really need help with number 3 please. Thanks. need help with all really quick but especially number3. Thanks again. God Bless!!!

#1
–3y – 12 = –4
Need help with solving for Y.

#2
Compute a value for t that satisfies the equation below.
-2/3t - 2= -3

#3
A student attempts to solve for c in the equation below. Which statement best applies to the work shown below?

2c + 3 = 1

2c + 3 – 3 = 1 – 3

2c = –2

2c x 1/2 = 2 x 1/2

c = –1

A.

The student incorrectly applied the multiplication property of equality before the addition property of equality.

B.

The student did not apply the addition property of equality to isolate c.

C.

The student did not apply the multiplication property of equality to isolate c.

D.

The student correctly solved the two-step equation

Respuesta :

For a. Isolate the y value. So -3y=8. Multiply both sides by -1/3, so y equals -8/3
For b. I would multiply the entire equation by 3 to get rid of the fraction. So the new equation is now -2t-6=-9. Isolate the variable, t, again. So it is now -2t=-3. Multiply both sides by -1/2, and t=3/2
For c. Nothing seems to be wrong except for the fact that you forgot a negative sign in one of the steps

Answer:

D.

t = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Compute a value for t that satisfies the equation below.

D.

t = 3

(pretty sure for B)
