Kyle (he/his) is a 17-year-old HS student who sings and acts semiprofessionally. Kyle is currently in a minor role (requires acting, singing, and dancing) at a local theater company. He is midway through his run of the show and has 6 more performances in the next 3 weeks. He has noted a 2-month onset of daily throat discomfort after talking, acting, and singing. He has struggled with voice breaks in his high range. Kyle was referred to you by his otolaryngologist, who diagnosed him with bilateral subepithelial lesions, suspected to be vocal nodules. Kyle is quite distressed by these symptoms and states, "This never happened before. Why is this happening now?" Other than Kyle, his family, and his otolaryngologist, name at least two other members of this interdisciplinary voice-care team.
