You have a dozen eggs at home, and you know that with them you can make 100 muffins. if you find that half of the eggs have gone bad and can't be used, how many muffins can you make

12 eggs: 100 muffins 
12/2 eggs: 100/2 muffins
6 eggs: 50 muffins.
So you can make 50 muffins with the good eggs which are left.

12 eggs can make 100 muffins, 
But you only have 6 muffins now, 
So you can only make 50 muffins
