The basic idea is to start with the generic slope intercept form equation. Then plug in m = -7 (the slope) and b = 6 (the y intercept)

y = mx+b
y = -7x + b ... replace m with -7
y = -7x + 6 ... replace b with 6

The final answer is y = -7x+6
