Greetings!

"Solving equation:[tex]6x+7=8x-13[/tex]?"...

Solve for x.
[tex]6x+7=8x-13[/tex]
Add 13 to both sides.
[tex](6x+7)+13=(8x-13)+13[/tex]
Simplify
[tex]6x+20=8x[/tex]
Subtract both sides by 6x.
[tex](6x+20)-6x=(8x)-6x[/tex]
Simplify.
[tex]20=2x[/tex]
Divide both sides by 2.
[tex](20)/2=(2x)/2[/tex]
Simplify.
[tex]10=x[/tex]

The answer would be 10.

Hope this helps.
