In the Hindu religion, you are merely reborn, or reincarnated. You are reborn as something or someone depending on your Karma you had in your previous life.

In the Buddhist religion, you are also reincarnated. But, you are reincarnated until you reach inner peace or something like that. However many lifetimes that may take you... idk.
