See attachments below

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a college math forum, so we expect a scientific and/or graphing calculator to be required equipment. Read the manual for your calculator if you don't know how to work this multiplication problem. The work of pushing buttons is difficult to show. (On this calculator, the "ENTER" button is the last to be pressed. It causes the expression to be evaluated and the result to be displayed.)

_____

Manual solution

At least a couple of different methods are taught for multiplying multi-digit numbers. In every case, you're required to multiply every digit of one number by every digit of the other number, and place the result according to the place values of the digits being multiplied. There are even methods for doing this mentally—generally involving accumulating the products that contribute to a particular place value in the answer.

There are also algorithms for doing this using manual tools such as a soroban or abacus, as opposed to pencil and paper.

___

Shown in the second attachment is a method that lets you avoid having to deal with carries until the final addition at the end. One number is written across the top, and the other is written down the right side. The locations of decimal points are noted, but otherwise ignored. All that matters is the total number of decimal digits that need to appear in the product.

At the intersection of each row and column, the product of the row and column digits is entered. The tens digit of that product is written above the diagonal, and the units digit below. When all the boxes have been filled, the final sum is found by adding the numbers in the same diagonal space. There may be a carry from one result digit to the one on its left. Sum digits are written at the bottom or left side, generally working right to left.

Here, result digits are 01670067, and we know there should be 4 decimal places. The final result is 167.0067, with 4 digits to the right of the decimal point.
