Primary sources are important when studying historical events because they offer a firsthand witness account. Though the resource may be written by a person ( who is flawed in how they view things) it still offers the factual information that can be collected by historians, scientists, and teachers. So primary sources offer facts, firsthand accounts, details, and evidence.
