The Mountains and Basins are the place that have drier climates, deserts, low vegetation and lots of mountains. A major city in this region is El Paso. The three major mountains are the Guadalupe Mountains, Colorado Mountains, and the Glass Mountains. The climate in this region is drier and can be very cold up in the mountains and very hot in the summer.The plant life in this region is mostly shrubs and bushes. When you go up into the mountains you'll see mostly pine trees and small wooden forests. Most landforms around here are mountain basins and desert basins. You'll also find rivers in this area the larger ones are called the Rio Grande and the Presidio River. Most resorces here are imports from states and major cities in Texas. The vegetation is poor around the mountain and basin area so they have to grow crops somewhere where it has a cool climate. Job opportunities comprise of crop growing and small businesses.
