Phoenicia was an ancient civilization in about 1500 BC. The nature of their expansion if twofold. One through their trade and commerce skills. Centering their activities in Tyre, the main city of their civilization they had trading relations with Greeks and Indo-Europeans.

They were known to have established their trading posts around the Mediterranean. The other way of their expansion was their colonies. They established around three hundred colonies which helped them expand in a large number and area.
