"Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" by Jonathan Edwards was written as part of the Great Awakening.
The Sermon is one of the most famous works by Jonathan and is studied on a large scale by both Christians and historians as it gives an idea of the theology in those times. It was written in 1741 in an effort to draw the picture of a real hell.
