Chemical changes are when a new atomically bond is created or one is broken.
Physical changes are when nothing really changes, but they item changes form.
Melting ice is a physical change. The ice is still water, just not frozen.
Breaking glass is a physical change. The glass isn’t changing, its just in smaller pieces.
Filtering a mixture is a physical change. If you filter sand from water it’s still water and sand, just not together anymore.
Burning paper is a chemical change. When you burn the paper it is no longer paper, now it’s ash and carbon dioxide.
