Tom had 7/12 of a pizza. His little sister came along and took 2/5 of his pizza away. How much pizza does Tom have left?

I believe the answer is 11/60 of a pizza. To get this, you must find common denominators of the two fractions. That would be 60 (12x5). You must multiply in a form of one (2x12=24, 7x5=35). Therefore, 35/60-24/60=11/60
