According to the ode, the god that will inescapably reprimand the murderer of Laios is Zeus. The misgivings that interrupt the Chorus’s confidence are the arguments of Teiresias, he who is expert at hearing fate. They agree with these misgivings by saying that Teiresias is furious and that he is basically a sightless old man.
