The answer for this question is: hippocampus
Hippocampus is a part of our brain that played a very crucial role to assist us in long-term memory storing.
So, if memory is not affected at all after receiving a certain a mount of brain damage, we can conclude that at least the damage is located in other part/are beside hippocampus.
