The dipole nature of water molecules to the chemistry of life is important as it cause to produce a partial positive and a partial negative end in the water molecules which would allow the molecules to have stronger bonds with each other. It allows the capillary action especially in the stem of plants. Also, with the dipole nature, it can almost dissolve  all substances.
