I think it’s like this I’m like 70% sure but basically you multiply what’s outside the parentheses to inside the parentheses which was negative 2 times 1 because when you see X it = 1x so yea and then negative 2 times 3 and then so you want to get x by itself you do plus 6 so it’s deleted and you do the same thing to the other side so negative 22 plus 6 and then you drop down the negative 2x only ad whatever is stuck to the x you divide to both sides so -2 divided by -2 and -16 divided by -2 that equals 8
