Animals are considered to be heterotrophs as a heterotroph
is being classified in an organism if it has the capability of ingesting and
absorbing organic carbon in means of having to maintain its life as it is a way
of having them to produce and synthesize the energy and compounds that they
require and have acquired in their body.
