1. Excitation of electrons by the light energy takes place in the thylakoid membrane.
2. The splitting of the water molecules takes place in the thylakoid membrane.
3. Formation of NADPH occur in the thylakoid membrane.
It can be seen that all the three events take place in the same location, this is because these chemical reactions are the light dependent reactions of photosynthesis and light dependent reactions of photosynthesis usually occur in the thylakoid membrane of the chloroplast.
