Do the characteristics of the interviewer make a difference? To investigate, Christian asked 90 mall shoppers if they preferred ketchup or mustard on their hot dogs using three different approaches. Christian asked 30 shoppers while wearing a full-body ketchup bottle costume, 30 shoppers while wearing a full-body mustard bottle costume, and 30 shoppers while wearing no costume.
