To find the area, we need to find the length and width of the rectangle. On the graph, we can see the length goes from (2,3) to (9,3) so we can see the length is 7 units long. We can also see the width goes from (9,3) to (9,5) meaning that the width is 2 units long.

When using the rectangle-area formula where the area is the height multiplied by the width, we can find it using:

Area = width x height
Area = 2 x 7
Area = 14 units squared

When calculating area, you do need to square your units but most exams will do this for you. Otherwise, the area is 14 units.
