Answer:

The earliest human beings in China are Yuanmou people, about 1.7 million years ago. Yuanmou man was earlier than Lantian Man, Peking Man and Shandingdong Man, and was the earliest primitive human in China and even Asia. Yuanmou man, because found in the northwest hill of Shangnapung village, Yuanmou County, Yunnan Province, was named "Yuanmou erectus", the English sculpture: Homo erectus yuan mouensis, commonly known as "Yuanmou Man". The word "Yuanmou" comes from the Dai language, meaning "steed".

The characteristics of Yuanmou people's incisors are: the base of the crown is swollen, the end is extended, and it is slightly triangular. The bottom tubercle of the tongue surface is convex, and there are well-developed spatula shaped tooth pits. The concave surface in the middle of the lingual surface of the crown is rough, and the central fingerlike process is very long, and the fingerlike process is concentrated on the half surface near the outside.

The left incisor of Yuanmou man is 11.4 mm long, 8.1 mm wide and 11.2 mm high. The right incisor is 11.5 mm long, 8.6 mm wide and 11.1 mm high. The cutting edge was worn during life. 1965 "May Day" festival, Yunnan Yuanmou County on the Mussel village found Yuanmou people. The discovery of two teeth, followed by the discovery of stone tools and charcoal chips in the same strata, proved that they were primitive humans who could make tools and use fire.

In 1976, according to the paleomagnetism method, the survival age of Yuanmou people was 170± 100,000 years, meaning about 1.7 million years, and the difference was not more than 100,000 years. The two teeth found in Yuanmou Man, one is the left upper medial incisor and the other is the right upper medial incisor, both belong to an adult individual, probably a young male.
