John Calvin's teachings focuses on changing and renewing lives. Many Englishmen who wanted to leave England believed that they could only renew their lives if they live England. They wanted to leave the country and find a different place where they can start a brand new life.
The Protestant Reformation was driven by Henry VIII, who turned into the leader of the Church of England. Tragically, Henry had no enthusiasm for making extraordinary walks in religion. Then again, puritans who embraced a large portion of Calvin's lessons saw that incredible religious energy was required, thus they chose to isolate from the solid Church of England to the Americas.
