if someone eats three fifths of a whole and left 12 pieces how many pieces were there in a whole

Answer 1

2/5 = 12
[divide both sides by 2 to get singular unit]
1/5 = 6
[multiply both sides by 5 to get whole number]
5/5 = 30
So 30 pieces in a whole. :)
