A loudspeaker's sensitivity rating is a measure of its efficiency. It measures how well the speaker transforms electrical power into sound. A greater sensitivity rating indicates that the speaker generates more sound for a given amount of power. As a result, comparing sensitivity ratings might reveal information about the efficiency of various loudspeakers.
