What would happen to the concentration of the products if more reactants were added to a reaction that was in chemical equilibrium? how would this addition affect the equilibrium?

According to Le Chatelier's principle, at equilibrium, the rates of both the forward and reverse equations will be equal.

Adding more reactants will cause the rate of forward reaction to increase (the equilibrium will shift to the left) in order to form more products and compensate for the increase of reactants. The concentration of products will gradually increase till a new equilibrium is reached.
