When a man starts to stop doing housework because the woman out-earns him, I think this falls into their role in the family. It is not about a stereotype, kind of understanding. But there is a link on gender instincts of doing chores. The man may try to look for a way to earn more. On the other hand, a woman who earns more receives more pressure and is not at ease and may tend to do more household work.
