In decision making, you weigh out the options based on their pros and cons. Theorizing the possible consequences is one thing. But it is best to test these options. For example, when businesses innovate new products, they do testing by providing free food samples to the consumers. In return, they ask for their honest feedbacks. These feedbacks are then evaluated by the team. If they think that the new product has a potential to increase their profit, then they would officially launch it. If not, they would move on to the next option and test it again.
