Hi!

We can set up proportions to solve these.

1. [tex] \frac{x}{60} \frac{45}{100} [/tex]

2. [tex] \frac{8}{x} \frac{0.5}{100} [/tex]

Cross multiply to solve for x

1. 60 x 45 = 2700
2700/100 = 27

2. 8 x 100 = 800
800/0.5 = 1600
(Tip: dividing by 0.5 is the same as multiplying by 2)

The answers are
1. 27
And
2. 1600

Hope this helps! :)
