The Social Control Theory by Travis Hirschi is a concept in sociology that helps in explaining the behavior of criminal acts by delinquent people. According to this theory, people are more susceptible to violate laws if they do not actively socialize with their peers in the community. People who have beliefs, morals and principles are more likely to stray away from committing crimes. People who don't have these beliefs or civil concern to his community are more likely to have no self-control in delinquency.
